Project : Vladivostok International Airport Terminal Building
Location : Vladivostok
The construction of the Terminal is currently planned to be executed in three phases to accommodate
expected traffic growth more organically. The first phase of Terminal construction (“Phase One”) will allow
annual throughput of up to 3.5 million passengers, and is currently designed to comprise c. 55,000 square
meters of total area. Phase One is to be completed in the second half of 2011, so that the Terminal is fully
operational for APEC.
The terminal building size is based on an IATA Level of Service C. The year 2012 design is for 1360 (2 way) peak hour passengers for domestic and international passengers with a split 70% domestic and 30% international.
The location is a green field site adjacent to the existing South-East main runway.
The building is compact and has three floors with a basement. Within the building perimeter, there are two distinct zones, one for domestic passengers and the other for international passengers.
Vladivostok International Airport is located approximately 45 km north of the City of Vladivostok. It is located North-West of the City of Artem and West of the City of Knevichi
Organisation of the Terminal Building
The Terminal Building is an expression of the efficient and compact routing structures through the building designed for both departing and arriving passengers at Vladivostok.
The Terminal Building is essentially a compact core over 3 levels which is surrounded by large open concourse areas, the resultant structure is then enclosed by an insulated envelope.
